Call4Calm is operated by the Illinois Department of Human Services’ Mental Health Division and is free-of-charge. Individuals who would like to speak with a mental health professional can text “TALK” to 5-5-2-0-2-0. To receive support in Spanish, individuals can text “HABLAR” to 5-5-2-0-2-0.

National Alliance on Mental Illness–Illinois – The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a nationwide advocacy group, representing families and people affected by mental health disorders in the United States. The national organization is organized into state and local affiliates, of which NAMI–Illinois is one.

Illinois 211 – 2-1-1 is a free referral and information helpline that connects people to a wide range of health and human services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To contact 2-1-1 in any state, including Illinois, simply dial the numbers 2-1-1 from any phone. Call NAMI at 800 950-6264 Monday through Friday 11a CST to 11p CST.
